Yanmar KM4A2 Marine Gearbox for JH4-TE/JH4-HTE, 1.47:1 Reduction (KM4A2SS)

The Yanmar KM4A2SS is a compact KM4A2 marine reduction gearbox with a 1.47 ratio for Yanmar JH4-TE and JH4-HTE diesel engines. It joins the engine to the propeller shaft in inboard installations on sailboats and auxiliary powerboats.

The low 1.47 ratio gives higher propeller shaft speed, for particular vessel and propeller combinations. This OEM Yanmar unit suits JH4-TE and JH4-HTE engines specified for KM4A-series transmissions and, installed to the manufacturer's specifications, fits approved engine mounts, controls and shafting without modification. It is used for transmission replacement, repowers with a compatible JH4 engine and new installations built to a defined drivetrain configuration.
