Yanmar 8LV-370 V8 Marine Diesel Engine, 370 HP
The Yanmar 8LV-370 is a water-cooled four-stroke V8 marine diesel rated 272 kW (370 mhp) at 3800 RPM from 4.460 L. It weighs 435 kg dry and is designed to match Yanmar's ZT370 twin-propeller sterndrive or a KMH50 inboard transmission.
Yanmar targets the 8LV at ski boats, fast sport boats and cruisers, both new and repowered. The engine idles at 550 RPM for low-speed handling in close quarters, with the hydraulic clutch of the ZT370 or KMH50 helping, and turns up to 3,800 RPM at the top end.
A 12-volt, 180-amp alternator keeps onboard systems charged. The engine is managed by Yanmar's VCS CAN-bus control system and is built for easy installation and servicing.
