Yanmar 8LV-320Z V8 Marine Diesel Engine, 320 HP
The Yanmar 8LV-320Z is a four-stroke, water-cooled V8 marine diesel rated 235 kW (320 mhp) at 3800 RPM, displacing 4.460 L. The 8LV weighs 435 kg dry and pairs with Yanmar's ZT370 twin-propeller sterndrive or a KMH50 inboard transmission.
Intended for ski boats, fast sport craft and cruisers in new builds or repowers, the 8LV idles at 550 RPM so it can creep through a marina, assisted by the hydraulic clutch of the ZT370 or KMH50, and reaches a maximum engine speed of 3,800 RPM.
Onboard electrics are charged by a 12-volt, 180-amp alternator. Control runs through Yanmar's VCS CAN-bus system, and the engine is designed for simple installation and routine servicing.
