Yanmar 8LV-320 V8 Marine Diesel Engine, 320 HP
The Yanmar 8LV-320 is a water-cooled four-stroke V8 marine diesel rated 235 kW (320 mhp) at 3800 RPM from 4.460 L. It weighs 435 kg dry and can be matched to Yanmar's ZT370 twin-propeller sterndrive or a KMH50 inboard transmission.
The 8LV is aimed at ski boats, fast sport boats and cruisers, for new builds or repowers. It idles at 550 RPM for slow maneuvering in a marina, helped by the hydraulic clutch of the ZT370 or KMH50 drive, and runs to a maximum of 3,800 RPM.
A 12-volt, 180-amp alternator supplies onboard electrical systems. The engine uses Yanmar's VCS CAN-bus control system and is laid out for straightforward installation and servicing.
