Yanmar 4LV250 Marine Diesel Engine, 250 HP
The Yanmar 4LV250 is a four-cylinder, in-line, water-cooled marine diesel with a rated output of 183 kW (250 mhp) at 3800 RPM. Common-rail injection feeds its 2.755 L displacement, and the description states it meets EPA Tier 3 and EU RCD Stage 2 limits.
The 4LV series is intended for sailing yachts over 50 ft, superyacht tenders, small motorboats and light-duty commercial boats. Its compact size suits repowering as well as new construction, and it is designed to fit into the footprints of earlier engines.
The engine is built for direct connection to NMEA and J1939 CAN-bus networks, so it can report to multifunction helm displays. Optional Yanmar controls for the 4LV range include the VC10 electronic control panel with real-time diagnostics and the JC20 joystick maneuvering system.
