Yanmar 4LV230 Marine Diesel Engine, 230 HP

The Yanmar 4LV230 is an in-line four-cylinder, water-cooled marine diesel rated 169 kW (230 mhp) at 3800 RPM. It uses common-rail fuel injection with a 2.755 L displacement and meets EPA Tier 3 and EU RCD Stage 2 emission rules.

Yanmar aims the 4LV series at sailing yachts over 50 ft, superyacht tenders, small motorboats and light-duty commercial vessels, for new builds as well as repowers. The engine is compact and is designed to fit the mounting footprints of earlier engines.

Direct connectivity to NMEA and J1939 CAN-bus networks lets the engine integrate with multifunction helm displays. The 4LV range can be paired with Yanmar controls such as the VC10 electronic control panel, which gives real-time diagnostics, and the JC20 joystick maneuvering system.
