The Yamaha T9.9XPHB is a 9.9 HP High Thrust two-cylinder four-stroke outboard with a 25-inch shaft, tiller steering, electric start and power tilt. It is fitted with a high thrust lower unit and a dual thrust aluminum propeller.

The 212 cc carbureted engine weighs 114 lbs, has a listed full-throttle range of 5,000 to 6,000 RPM and uses a shorter tiller handle for comfort. Yamaha notes the High Thrust model is used as a kicker on multi-species boats. Standard equipment includes the dual thrust aluminum propeller, high thrust lower unit, power tilt, a fuel line, a safety lanyard and the owner's manual.
