The Yamaha T9.9XPB is a 9.9 HP High Thrust two-cylinder four-stroke outboard with a 25-inch shaft, mechanical remote steering, electric start and power tilt. It runs a high thrust lower unit with a dual thrust aluminum propeller.

The 212 cc carbureted engine weighs 108 lbs and has a listed full-throttle range of 5,000 to 6,000 RPM. Yamaha notes the High Thrust model is used as a kicker on multi-species boats.
