Volvo Penta V8-350-C DP-S Aquamatic Gasoline Sterndrive Engine

The Volvo Penta Aquamatic V8-350-C DP-S is an integrated sterndrive package with a 5.3-liter, 8-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine, a catalyst and broadband oxygen sensors. It is freshwater cooled and drives through the twin-propeller Duoprop DPS drive.

Aluminum cylinder block and cylinder head construction, light low-friction pistons and a cast-aluminum oil pan keep the engine and drive compact, which eases installation. Direct spark-ignition injection supports a high compression ratio, and variable valve timing adjusts intake and exhaust valve events to engine speed and load.

The closed-loop freshwater cooling keeps seawater from reaching the engine internals, cutting internal corrosion. Easy Drain empties the raw-water side in a few minutes, and an anti-siphon valve lets the boat stay in the water while it does. Electronic engine control, a lightweight aluminum exhaust, an integrated kick-up function and easy-access service points complete the package.
