Volvo Penta V6-200-C SX Aquamatic Gasoline Sterndrive Engine

The Volvo Penta Aquamatic V6-200-C SX is a fully integrated sterndrive package that pairs a 4.3-liter, 6-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine with a catalyst to a single-propeller SX drive. The engine is cooled by a closed freshwater system.

An aluminum cylinder block and head, lightweight low-friction pistons and a cast-aluminum oil pan give a compact engine-and-drive unit that is simpler to install. Direct spark-ignition fuel injection supports a high compression ratio, while variable valve timing sets intake and exhaust valve movement for the speed and load at hand.

Seawater stays out of the engine thanks to the closed freshwater cooling circuit, which reduces internal corrosion. Easy Drain empties the raw-water side in a few minutes, and the anti-siphon valve allows draining afloat. The package also brings electronic engine control, a lightweight aluminum exhaust, an integrated kick-up function and easy-access service points.
