Volvo Penta V6-200-C DP-S Aquamatic Gasoline Sterndrive Engine

The Volvo Penta Aquamatic V6-200-C DP-S is a fully integrated sterndrive package with a 4.3-liter, 6-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine, a catalyst and freshwater cooling. Power goes through the twin-propeller Duoprop DPS drive.

Its aluminum cylinder block and cylinder head, light low-friction pistons and cast-aluminum oil pan keep the engine-and-drive package compact and easier to install. Direct spark-ignition injection allows a high compression ratio, and variable valve timing adjusts intake and exhaust valve events to engine speed and load across the rev range.

Closed-loop freshwater cooling keeps seawater away from the engine internals to limit corrosion. The Easy Drain system empties the raw-water side in a few minutes, and an anti-siphon valve lets this be done with the boat in the water. Electronic engine control, a lightweight aluminum exhaust, an integrated kick-up function and easy-access service points complete the package.
