Volvo Penta IPS800 Pod Drive System with Twin D8 Engines, 800 HP

$226,278.00Price
Quantity

The Volvo Penta IPS800 with twin D8 engines is an integrated pod-drive system rated at 800 HP total for the twin installation. Each D8-IPS 800 is a 7.7-liter inline 6-cylinder marine diesel rated at 3000 RPM, driving an IPS15 pod with forward-facing, counter-rotating propellers.

Each engine has a compacted graphite iron cylinder block and cast-iron head, common-rail diesel injection, and a twin-entry turbo with compressor and charge-air cooler. Cooling is by heat exchanger. Soft-mounted engines, rubber-isolated pod seals and exhaust routed through the prop wash reduce vibration and noise.

Standard Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) integrates Joystick Docking and Glass Cockpit compatibility with redundant safety systems, and the Dynamic Positioning System is an option. The package is aimed at motor yachts, express cruisers and performance vessels. Emissions compliance covers EPA Tier 3, EU RCD Stage II and IMO NOx Tier II.
