Volvo Penta D6-370 Marine Diesel Engine, 370 HP
The Volvo Penta D6-370 is a 5.5-liter inline 6-cylinder marine diesel rated at 370 HP (276 kW) at 3500 RPM. It pairs common-rail fuel injection and double overhead camshafts with a turbocharger, and it is freshwater cooled through a heat exchanger.
The block and cylinder head are cast iron, and the engine is built to keep its weight and installed footprint compact, which suits it to repower projects as well as new builds. Oil capacity is approximately 15 to 16 liters, and emissions compliance covers IMO NOx Tier II, EPA Tier 3 and EU RCD Stage II.
The D6-370 works with Volvo Penta Electronic Vessel Control (EVC), which provides single-lever operation, integrated diagnostics and compatibility with current helm displays, for recreational and commercial boats alike.
