Volvo Penta D6-330 Marine Diesel Engine, 330 HP

The Volvo Penta D6-330 is a 5.5-liter 6-cylinder marine diesel with crankshaft power of 243 kW (330 hp) at 3,500 RPM, at Rating 4. It uses electronically controlled common-rail injection and a turbo with charge air cooler, with heat exchanger or keel cooling.

The rigid cast-iron cylinder block and head, a balance shaft and optimized engine suspension keep noise and vibration down, and the engine is compact for its swept volume and output. Fuel consumption is 235 g/kWh.

Two type-approved control systems are offered: Electronic Vessel Control, integrating engines, electronics and optional features, and the Marine Commercial Control System, an open system for a ship's own controls. PTO capability, a heavy-duty engine cover and accessible service points are included.
