Volvo Penta D4-300 Aquamatic Sterndrive Marine Diesel Engine, 300 HP
The Volvo Penta D4-300 Aquamatic pairs a 3.7-liter in-line 4-cylinder common-rail marine diesel with a Volvo Penta Aquamatic sterndrive, rated 300 hp (221 kW) at 3,500 RPM. It is turbocharged with a charge air cooler and freshwater cooled through a heat exchanger.
Combining engine and sterndrive gives a compact propulsion package aimed at planing hulls. Strong torque across the RPM range supports confident handling in rough seas, mid-range cruising and load carrying, along with quicker planing and better low-speed docking control.
Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) supports single-lever operation, optional joystick docking and integrated instrumentation and diagnostics. Standard freshwater cooling limits corrosion and keeps operating temperatures in range.
