Volvo Penta D4-260 Aquamatic Sterndrive Marine Diesel Engine, 260 HP

The Volvo Penta D4-260 Aquamatic is an integrated sterndrive package powered by a common-rail marine diesel with crankshaft power of 191 kW (260 hp) at 3,500 RPM, at Rating 5. It has double overhead camshafts, a turbo and compressor with charge air cooler, and heat exchanger cooling.

The aluminum cylinder block and head keep weight low for the output, and the compact, symmetrical design simplifies installation. Electronic steering enables features such as joystick maneuvering, and fuel consumption is 230 g/kWh.

Two type-approved control systems are available: Electronic Vessel Control, which ties together engines, electronics and optional features, and the Marine Commercial Control System, an open system for integration into the vessel's controls. Freshwater cooling is standard.
