Volvo Penta D4-175 I Marine Diesel Engine, 3.7L 4-Cylinder
The Volvo Penta D4-175 I is a 3.7-liter in-line four-cylinder marine diesel with common-rail fuel injection, double overhead camshafts and a turbo. Its gearbox uses a hydraulic clutch, and throttle and shift are electronic through Volvo Penta EVC Electronic Vessel Control.
A balancer shaft and improved engine suspension keep noise and vibration low while the engine responds quickly. It is built to be robust, and high torque at low RPM supports fast acceleration onto plane and strong maneuvering power, with torque holding up under high load and high RPM. Service points are placed for easy access.
The EVC system links the engine, electronics and optional features such as single-lever mode and Glass Cockpit, and the remote e-Key is included as standard equipment.
