Volvo Penta D3-200 Marine Diesel Engine, 200 HP

The Volvo Penta D3-200 is a 2.4-liter in-line 5-cylinder marine diesel rated 200 hp at 4,000 RPM. It combines an aluminum block and head with common-rail injection using piezo-electric injectors and a variable geometry turbo with charge air cooler.

The aluminum construction and symmetrical layout make the engine straightforward to fit in tight engine bays, for repowers as well as new builds, and it suits planing boats, cruisers and light commercial vessels. Fuel consumption is given as approximately 229.7 g/kWh.

Electronic Vessel Control compatibility adds single-lever control, Cruise Control, Glass Cockpit integration and e-Key security. Standard freshwater cooling through a heat exchanger reduces internal corrosion and keeps operating temperature consistent in saltwater use.
