Volvo Penta D2-75 Marine Diesel Engine with HS25A Gearbox
A Volvo Penta D2-75 marine diesel engine supplied together with an HS25A gearbox. The D2-75 is a 2.2-liter, four-cylinder in-line diesel with a cooler air intake, an in-line injection pump driven from the camshaft and standard freshwater cooling.
The engine runs at low speeds, and its dynamically balanced design with effective rubber insulation keeps vibration low while an intake air silencer reduces noise on board. Strong low-rev torque gives fast response when maneuvering in harbor, in tight spaces or against a strong wind, and the engine is built around a rigid block.
A built-in load-sensing alternator provides more than 35 A at idle and about 100 A at cruising speed. Also standard are freshwater cooling to reduce internal corrosion and keep the temperature uniform, an EVC instrumentation interface with NMEA, a dedicated oil-change tube, a relay-operated starter solenoid and a large-capacity hot water outlet.
