Volvo Penta D13-900 Marine Diesel Engine, 900 HP
The Volvo Penta D13-900 is a 12.8-liter in-line 6-cylinder marine diesel rated 900 hp (662 kW) at 2,300 RPM. It combines an overhead camshaft with dual-stage turbocharging and twin charge-air coolers.
A rigid cast-iron cylinder block and head, reinforced internal components and a heavy-duty cooling layout are built to resist thermal and mechanical stress in offshore use. The electronically managed fuel system adjusts injection timing and boost pressure to operating conditions.
Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) integration provides single-lever throttle and shift, engine synchronization for multi-engine installations, cruise control and joystick compatibility, glass cockpit integration and built-in diagnostics with redundancy.
