Volvo Penta D11-725 Marine Diesel Engine, 725 HP
The Volvo Penta D11-725 is a 10.8-liter in-line 6-cylinder marine diesel rated 725 hp at 2,250 RPM, at Rating 3. It uses a twin-entry turbocharger with charge-air cooling, an overhead camshaft and heat exchanger cooling.
Built for continuous operation, the engine has a rigid cast-iron cylinder block and cylinder head, heavy-duty internal components and a water-cooled exhaust manifold. Its torque-focused tuning gives strong pull at low RPM for smooth acceleration under load and stable cruising in rough seas.
Volvo Penta Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) provides single-lever operation, integrated diagnostics, glass cockpit compatibility and redundant safety systems. Service points are easy to reach, and the engine uses Volvo Penta lubrication and filtration systems.
