Volvo Penta D1-30 Marine Diesel Engine with MS15L Gearbox
A Volvo Penta D1-30 marine diesel engine supplied together with an MS15L gearbox. The D1-30 is a 1.1-liter, three-cylinder in-line diesel with an in-line injection pump driven from the camshaft and standard freshwater cooling.
Low running speeds, a dynamically balanced layout and effective rubber insulation keep vibration low, while an intake air silencer cuts noise on board. Torque is strong at low revs, giving fast response for maneuvering in port, in tight quarters or against a headwind, and the engine is built on a rigid block.
A built-in load-sensing alternator provides more than 35 A at idle and around 100 A at cruising speed. Freshwater cooling is standard, reducing internal corrosion and keeping the operating temperature uniform, and the engine also has an EVC instrumentation interface with NMEA, a dedicated oil-change tube, a relay-operated starter solenoid and a large-capacity hot water outlet.
