Volvo Penta D1-30 Inboard Marine Diesel Engine, 30 HP
The Volvo Penta D1-30 is an in-line 3-cylinder, 1.1-liter, naturally aspirated inboard marine diesel. It runs a cam-driven in-line injection pump with the Mechanical Diesel Interface control system and comes with freshwater cooling as standard.
Rubber isolation, a dynamically balanced design and an inlet air silencer keep vibration and noise in check at low cruising RPM. A rigid engine block and one-piece cylinder head form a strong base, and the engine is tuned for high torque at low speeds for docking, tight spaces and head winds.
Charging comes from a 115 A alternator with an electronic sensor, giving more than 35 A at idle and around 100 A at cruising speed. Freshwater cooling reduces internal corrosion and helps hold a steady working temperature.
