Volvo Penta D1-30 Bobtail Marine Diesel Engine
The Volvo Penta D1-30 is a 1.1-liter, 3-cylinder in-line marine diesel engine with an in-line injection pump driven from the camshaft and freshwater cooling. This bobtail version is supplied without a transmission.
A dynamically balanced design on highly effective rubber insulation, low engine speed and an intake air silencer work together to keep vibration and noise down for a more comfortable boat. High torque at low revs gives fast response for docking and for maneuvering in tight quarters or against a strong wind.
The built-in load-sensing alternator provides more than 35 A at idle and around 100 A at cruising speed. Freshwater cooling is standard, maintaining a uniform operating temperature and reducing internal corrosion. Further equipment includes an EVC and NMEA instrumentation interface, a special oil-change tube, a relay-activated starter solenoid and a large-capacity hot water outlet.
