Volvo Penta Aquamatic D4-270A DP-I Diesel Sterndrive Package

The Volvo Penta Aquamatic D4-270A DP-I combines a 3.7-liter, four-cylinder in-line common-rail diesel with the DuoProp DPI drive in one integrated sterndrive package. The engine uses a turbocharger and double overhead camshafts, and the system runs on Volvo Penta EVC with an e-Key remote included as standard.

The engine and drive are matched as a complete system from the helm to the propellers. Electronically controlled common-rail injection feeds the engine, shift and throttle are electronic, and steering is hydraulic. Twin propellers on the DuoProp drive, a quiet gear shift and the ability to slip the clutch help with low-speed maneuvering, and service points are placed for easy access.

Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) ties together the engine, electronics and optional functions including a single-lever mode and Glass Cockpit. An e-Key remote is part of the standard specification.
