Vetus M3.29K Marine Diesel Engine, Keel Cooled Model, 27 HP
The Vetus M3.29K is the keel-cooled model of the M3.29, a three-cylinder marine diesel rated 20 kW (27 hp) at the flywheel and 19.3 kW (26.2 hp) at the propeller shaft. Displacement is 952 cm³, maximum speed 3600 RPM, and a TMC40P gearbox is standard.
This M-line engine has a cast aluminum top cover with an integrated water-cooled element that soaks up radiant heat. The fuses and relays, fuel filter and fuel connections, impeller, dipstick and oil filter are laid out for easy servicing, and a plastic front cover shields the pulleys and belts to meet the EC Machinery Directive.
Fuel is delivered by an electric pump that runs from the ignition switch, and the system is self-bleeding after a filter change. Intake noise is damped by a new air inlet filter housing, and a high-output marine alternator comes standard. Optional extras are front-mounted oil and fuel filters with bracket, a calorifier connection kit, SOLAS approval and the ZF12M, ZF15MIV or TMC60A gearbox.
