Vetus M2.18 16 HP Marine Diesel Engine with Sail Drive

$7,563.00Price
Quantity

The Vetus M2.18 with sail drive is a two-cylinder, 635 cm³ M-Line marine diesel rated 11.8 kW (16 HP) at the flywheel and 11.6 kW (15.7 HP) at the propeller shaft, with a maximum speed of 3,600 RPM. Saildrive options are the SP60 (2.15 / 2.38:1) and SD10 (2.23 / 2.49:1).

A cast aluminum top cover with a water-cooled element absorbs radiant heat, lowering temperature by up to 15°C according to the maker. Fuses and relays, fuel filter and connections, impeller, dipstick and oil filter are laid out for easy access, the fuel system bleeds itself automatically after a filter change, and an electric fuel pump runs from the ignition switch. A plastic front cover encloses all pulleys and belts to meet the EC Machinery Directive.

Cooling is indirect as standard, with keel cooling optional, and a GRP engine bed for the SP60 or SD10 is offered as an option. The engine carries EU-RCD II and BSO certification, and warning lights with an audible alarm cover oil pressure, coolant and exhaust temperature and charging current, with a control light for pre-heating.
