The Tohatsu MFS9.8BEFS is a 9.8 HP two-cylinder four-stroke tiller outboard with a 15-inch short shaft. It starts electrically or by hand, has manual trim and tilt, and weighs 88 lbs.

The carbureted 209 cc twin turns a full-throttle range of 5,000 to 6,000 RPM. Standard features include a propeller, a 3.1-gallon external fuel tank with fuel line hose, a charging system, a service tool kit and parts, a stop switch lanyard and the owner's manual.
