The Tohatsu MFS6DWDS is a 6 HP single-cylinder four-stroke tiller outboard with a 15-inch short shaft, manual start and a 0.3-gallon internal fuel tank. It is carbureted, displaces 123 cc and weighs 56 lbs.

The top and bottom cowls have front and rear carrying handles, and the motor can be stored in three positions without oil spillage. All Tohatsu 6 HP outboards come in white. Full-throttle range is 5,000 to 6,000 RPM. Standard features include a propeller, the internal fuel tank with a fitting for an external tank, a service tool kit and parts, a stop switch lanyard and the owner's manual.
