The Suzuki DF9.9BL is a 9.9 HP electronic fuel injected four-stroke tiller outboard with a 20-inch long shaft and a saltwater-rated 327 cc two-cylinder powerhead. The motor weighs 106 lbs and suits medium to larger jon boats, skiffs and inflatables.

The SOHC powerhead turns 5,000 to 6,000 RPM at full throttle and drives a 3-blade aluminum propeller of 10.25 x 9.0 inches through a 2.08:1 gear ratio. Tiller controls include a twist-grip throttle with tension control, steering friction control and a forward-mounted shift lever for forward, neutral and reverse.

Low oil pressure and overheat warnings, an over-rev limiter, start-in-gear lockout and an emergency lanyard stop switch are standard. Manual tilt offers five trim positions with a tilt lock pin, plus shallow water drive, a fresh water flushing port and an integrated carrying handle. A 3.1-gallon fuel tank, fuel line, propeller, owner's manual and tool kit are included.
