Quantity

The Suzuki DF9.9BES is a 9.9 HP electronic fuel injected four-stroke tiller outboard with a 15-inch short shaft and push-button electric start. It suits medium and larger jon boats, skiffs and inflatables, and weighs 106 lbs.

Electric starting is paired with a built-in 12V 145W 12A charging system, with the thru-cowl manual pull cord retained as a backup. The saltwater-rated 327 cc two-cylinder SOHC powerhead turns 5,000 to 6,000 RPM at full throttle and drives a 3-blade aluminum propeller of 9.25 x 10.0 inches through a 2.08:1 gear ratio.

Tiller controls include a twist-grip throttle with tension control, steering friction control and a forward-mounted shift lever. Low oil pressure and overheat warnings, an over-rev limiter, start-in-gear lockout, an emergency lanyard stop switch, shallow water drive and five trim positions are standard. A 3.1-gallon fuel tank, fuel line, propeller, owner's manual and tool kit are included.
