Suzuki DF6ASW2 6 HP Tiller Outboard Motor, 15" Short Shaft
The Suzuki DF6ASW2 is a 6 HP single-cylinder outboard with a 15-inch short shaft, tiller steering and manual start. It suits jon boats, skiffs, tenders and small to medium inflatables, and it is saltwater rated with a built-in fuel tank plus an external tank connection.
The 138 cc OHV engine uses two valves per cylinder, digital CDI ignition and an enlarged carburetor. A fold-down tiller handle carries a twist-grip throttle with tension control, and a large starboard-side lever selects forward, neutral and reverse. Steering friction is adjustable, and the motor turns 90 degrees left or right for tight spots.
The motor hangs on a rubber-mount bracket and has five trim positions with a tilt lock pin, plus a two-position shallow water drive. Exhaust exits below the waterline, an over-rev limiter and emergency lanyard stop switch are fitted, and multi-layer corrosion protection is applied. It stores on its starboard side, port side or front, and runs a 3-blade aluminum propeller measuring 7.5 in diameter by 7.0 in pitch. A 12V 5A alternator is optional and requires installation.
