Suzuki DF6AL2 6 HP Four-Stroke Outboard Motor, 20" Shaft, Tiller
The Suzuki DF6AL2 is a 6 HP single-cylinder four-stroke tiller outboard with a 20-inch long shaft and manual start, weighing 54 lbs. Suitable uses include long-shaft jon boats and skiffs, auxiliary power on sailboats and kicker duty on bigger fishing boats.
The 138 cc OHV powerhead is carbureted, saltwater rated and runs between 4,750 and 5,750 RPM, with digital capacitor discharge ignition and a 1.92:1 gear ratio driving a 3-blade aluminum propeller of 7.5 x 7.0 inches. A 0.26-gallon fuel tank is built in, and the engine also has a connection for an external tank. A 12V 5A alternator is optional and requires installation.
The tiller handle folds down and carries a twist-grip throttle with tension control, steering friction control and up to 90 degrees of turning left or right. Shifting is by a starboard-side lever. Other features include a rubber-mount bracket, below-the-water exhaust, a large carrying handle, three-way storage on starboard, port or front, two-position shallow water drive, five trim positions with a tilt lock pin and an emergency lanyard stop switch.
