Miller Maxstar 161 STL TIG and Stick Welder with X-Case (907710001)

Quantity

The Miller Maxstar 161 STL is a portable DC TIG and stick welder with auto-line 120V and 240V power cords and a digital meter interface. It weighs 13 lbs and delivers up to 160 amps on 240V input. As a DC-only machine, it does not TIG weld aluminum.

Setup takes three steps: press the menu button to choose the process, hold it for one second to open the user menu, then turn the encoder to set the chosen parameter. On 120V input the stick range is 20-90A and the TIG range is 5-130A; on 240V both processes reach 160A (stick 20-160A, TIG 5-160A). Rated duty cycle is 30% at 90A on 120V and 20% at 160A on 240V. It handles steel from .020 to 3/16 in and electrodes up to 5/32 in.

The package includes the power source, 6.5 ft 120V and 240V power cords, a 13 ft stick electrode holder with 25mm Dinse connector, a 10 ft work clamp, a 12.5 ft air-cooled WP-17 TIG torch with connector (195234), a flow gauge regulator with gas hose, the AK2C accessory kit (short back cap, nozzles, collets, collet bodies and 2% ceriated tungsten in .040, 1/16 and 3/32), the X-Case, and a shoulder strap and handle. Pulse is offered on STH models only, not on this STL unit.
