Miller Bobcat 225 Kohler Welder/Generator, GFCI and Remote Start/Stop (907791)
The Miller Bobcat 225 (907791) is a Kohler-powered multi-process welder/generator with GFCI receptacles and remote start/stop, used mainly for stick welding. It is rated 225 amps at a 100% duty cycle with AC/DC output, and its generator suits farm, ranch and maintenance work.
The engine is turned toward the front for more efficient airflow, which lowers the sound level and lets the generator draw air in reverse, so hot air does not recirculate when the machine is mounted in a tight spot. Oil can be checked from the top by the front panel, the panels come off without tools, and fuel fill and oil drain/filter are on a single side. A ten-degree skewed-rotor generator design smooths the power output.
Construction includes copper windings and iron generator components, lugged rather than soldered heavy internal leads, protective armor doors over the weld studs and receptacles, and a lift hook built into the center frame and bolted to the base. The machine is built in Appleton, Wisconsin, handles flux-cored, MIG, stick and TIG work on mild and stainless steel, and weighs 485 lbs.
