Mercury Verado 400 HP CXL Four-Stroke Outboard Motor, 25" Shaft, DTS

The Mercury Verado 400 HP CXL is a 2.6 L inline-six four-stroke outboard with a 25-inch extra-long shaft and EFI. SmartCraft Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) and electro-hydraulic power steering are standard, the motor weighs 668 lbs, and the propeller is not included.

Its DOHC, 24-valve engine runs 6,200–6,800 RPM at full throttle and starts electrically with SmartStart protection. Trim and tilt are powered, with SmartCraft programmable tilt. The Advanced MidSection moves the engine mounts aft and outward to limit vibration, and a tuned multi-chamber intake, fuel-injector covers and cowl sealing keep engine noise down.

A counter-rotation version is available. Included with the motor are the owner's manual, mounting hardware and a tool kit; a propeller must be sourced separately.
