Mercury JET 80ELPT FourStroke Jet Outboard Motor
The Mercury JET 80ELPT is a FourStroke jet outboard: the gearcase is replaced by a pump jet that sits level with the bottom of the hull, so the boat can run in shallow water where a propeller-driven outboard cannot operate.
The jet uses a stainless impeller intended to cope with abrasive debris such as sand and shells drawn through the pump, and Mercury also notes its use on rescue boats. It has a four-cylinder EFI powerhead with electric start, power trim and tilt and mechanical remote steering. The owner's manual, mounting hardware and a tool kit are included.
