Mercury Jet 35ELPT FourStroke Outboard
The Mercury Jet 35ELPT is a 35 HP FourStroke outboard that drives through a jet pump rather than a propeller gearcase, for boats that work in shallow water. It uses remote mechanical steering and has electric start, power trim and tilt, EFI and a 15-inch shaft.
The jet pump rides flush with the bottom of the hull, letting the boat run where a conventional lower unit would not. Mercury points to the design keeping the area around the engine secure, which suits rescue boats, and a stainless impeller is made to withstand abrasive debris like sand and shells. The four-cylinder motor weighs 267 lbs, and the owner's manual, mounting hardware and a tool kit are included.
