Mercury 8 HP 8MLH Four-Stroke Outboard, 20" Shaft, Manual Start

The Mercury 8MLH is an 8 HP inline two-cylinder four-stroke outboard with manual start, tiller handle control and a 20-inch long shaft. It weighs 84 lbs, displaces 208 cc and runs 5,000–6,000 RPM at full throttle.

Mercury gave this motor a simpler starting procedure, quicker warmup and smoother idle. It suits aluminum tiller boats, soft-hull inflatables, jon boats, utility boats and sailboats. Standard equipment includes an 8.5 x 8.0-inch three-blade aluminum propeller, an integrated carry handle, a safety lanyard stop switch, a 3.2-gallon remote fuel tank, a tool kit and the owner's manual, in Phantom Black.
