Mercury 5 HP 5MLHA Sail Power Four-Stroke Outboard, 20" Shaft
The Mercury 5MLHA is a 5 HP single-cylinder four-stroke Sail Power outboard with a 20-inch long shaft, tiller control and manual start. A 12-volt charging alternator and a high-thrust propeller suit it to pushing heavy loads at low speed with good control.
The alternator delivers 4 amps / 50 watts for lighting and charging, and a supplied cable lets sailors top up a battery for electronics or lights. Reverse-thrust exhaust relief and the high-thrust propeller (6.0-inch pitch, three aluminum blades) improve slow-speed handling. A manual choke enriches the mixture for cold starts, and auto decompression lowers the pull force on the starter rope.
Beyond sailboats, the motor also suits aluminum tiller boats, inflatables and utility boats. The 123 cc engine uses a two-valve pushrod overhead-valve design and a 0.3-gallon internal fuel tank. Trim and tilt are manual and rotation is standard. An integrated carry handle, safety lanyard stop switch, tool kit and owner's manual are included, in Phantom Black.

Good to know
Confirm shaft length, controls and propeller rotation against your boat before ordering, and stay within the maximum horsepower on the boat's capacity plate.
Installation, rigging and commissioning by a qualified marine technician are recommended; follow the manufacturer's pre-delivery and break-in procedures.
