Mercury's 250 HP XL FourStroke outboard with a 25-inch extra-long shaft and DTS (Digital Throttle & Shift) controls. It has electric start, EFI fuel induction and power trim and tilt, and weighs 527 lbs.

DTS handles throttle and shift electronically instead of by cable. Full-throttle operating range is 5,200–6,000 RPM. The motor comes with an owner's manual, mounting hardware and a tool kit; the propeller is not included.
