Mercury's 250 HP L FourStroke outboard with a 20-inch long shaft and DTS (Digital Throttle & Shift) controls. It has electric start, EFI fuel induction and power trim and tilt, and weighs 527 lbs.

DTS provides electronic rather than cable throttle and shift. Full-throttle operating range is 5,200–6,000 RPM. An owner's manual, mounting hardware and a tool kit come with the motor; the propeller is not included.
