$40,899.00Price
Quantity

A partially dressed MerCruiser 540 V8 marine engine rated 450 HP at 4,600-5,000 RPM, part number 8M0113304. It is built for MerCruiser Bravo and Hi-Performance sterndrive applications and suits replacing older carbureted V8 engines in them.

The 540 cubic inch engine uses a Quicksilver 4-bolt main iron block, 4340 forged steel crankshaft and forged steel rods, 9.0:1 forged pistons, roller camshaft, Dart iron heads with 2.25 in stainless steel intake valves and 1.7:1 roller rocker arms. An 800 CFM four-barrel Holley carburetor with a mechanical fuel pump mounted to the sea water pump feeds it, and Thunderbolt V ignition with knock control fires it. It runs on 87 octane.

Cooling is by a circulating water pump with an engine oil cooler. Components listed are the distributor, flame arrestor, harmonic balancer, flywheel, oil pan, wire harness (10-pin), NGK plugs and marine plug wires, oil cooler and thermostat, fuel and oil filters, dipstick, coil, engine mounts, water hoses, exhaust manifolds and front dress. It is factory-filled with Mercury Racing 25W50 oil.
