Remanufactured MerCruiser 4.3L Alpha 4V Gen+ 225 PS Engine (865108R89)

A remanufactured, fully dressed MerCruiser 4.3L Alpha 4V Gen+ sterndrive engine rated 225 HP at 4,800 RPM, part number 865108R89, supplied as the engine only. It replaces MerCruiser 4.3L and 5.0L sterndrive engines.

Fuel comes from a new 600 cfm four-barrel carburetor with an electric fuel pump, and spark from Thunderbolt V ignition with knock control. The internals are a nodular iron crankshaft, billet steel roller camshaft, Vortec cast iron cylinder heads with stainless steel valves, 9.4:1 hypereutectic pistons and 1.5:1 full roller rocker arms.

A two-piece wet joint exhaust, flame graphics and a 10-pin harness are fitted, and the engine runs on 87 octane fuel. Part number 865108R89 has been replaced by 8M0178620 / 8M0187349.
