Hobart Ironman 240 MIG Wire Welder (500574)

The Hobart IronMan 240 (500574) is a full-size MIG and flux-cored wire welder that handles 24 gauge up to 1/2 in material in a single pass. It comes with a 200 A gun and built-in running gear with a cylinder rack, and runs aluminum with the optional SpoolRunner 200 spool gun.

Voltage and wire feed speed are both infinitely adjustable for fine control of penetration and bead shape, and the aluminum wire drive feeds 50-700 IPM. The spool hub takes 2, 10, 33 and 45 lb spools with a tool-less brake tension knob and automatic wire alignment. Reversible dual-groove drive rolls, a hinged door over the drive and built-in thermal overload protection round out the design.

With the optional Hobart SpoolRunner 200 spool gun (770967), it welds aluminum from 18 gauge to 1/2 in. Included are a 15 ft 200 A MIG gun, regulator/flowmeter, 5 ft gas hose with fitting, primary input cable with plug, 10 ft work cable with clamp, .030/.035 dual-groove drive roll, extra contact tips, built-in running gear/cylinder rack and a weld setup chart.
