Hobart Champion Elite 225 Welder/Generator (500562)

The Hobart Champion Elite 225 pairs a 225-amp DC stick welder with an 11,000-watt AC generator for construction work and emergency power. It is powered by a 23 HP Kohler gasoline engine and rated for a 100% duty cycle at 225 A.

A fully enclosed case protects the machine and reduces noise. Receptacles comprise four 120 V GFCI (20 A), one 240 V (50 A) and one 120/240 V (50 A), all with push-button reset circuit breakers, and auxiliary power can run lights or a grinder while welding. Controls include coarse range and fine adjust amperage, an engine speed switch, a choke, and a maintenance display for fuel level, engine hours and oil change interval.

The twin-cylinder, 4-cycle, overhead-valve Kohler engine runs at 3600 RPM and draws from a 12-gallon fuel tank, with low oil pressure shutdown, auto-idle, a standard hour meter and a no-tools oil change. Welding cables are sold separately.
