2022 Flexboat Flex 680 Cabin Explorer, Yamaha Mechanical, Grey w/ Black Accents
The 2022 Flexboat Flex 680 Explorer is a 25'3" console RIB with an enclosed cabin and head, Orca Hypalon tubes and a deep-V fiberglass hull. It is rated for 7 persons and up to 300 HP, and comes rigged with a Yamaha F300XA four-stroke outboard on a 25-inch shaft with remote mechanical steering.
The cone-shaped Orca Hypalon tubes use five-layer material, seven independent air chambers and two vulcanized rubber profiles that work as fenders and spray deflectors. The deep-V hull is laminated fiberglass polyester resin with biaxial woven roving, 1/4 in thick in the hull and 1/2 in at the keel, with fiberglass stringers laminated in triaxial fabric. A bow tow ring, two transom tie-down rings, bow rails with six 8-inch cleats and a swim platform with telescopic boarding ladder, shower wand and two lifting rings complete the exterior.
The gelcoat cockpit has a non-skid surface, an 8 mm glass windshield with wipers, an overhead console with clock, thermometer and VHF space, and stainless-framed captain and companion seats plus a two-person sofa. Behind the companion seat are a sink, cutting board, ice bucket, cooler and drawers. The head has a sink, electric toilet with macerator, exhaust fan and shower wand, fed by a 21-gallon freshwater tank; the cabin has a ceiling portlight and sliding side windows.
